Halloween is my absolute favourite holiday, and autumn is my favourite season. I really miss it since I'm living in San Francisco and there is never a season change. A true East Coaster loves the leaves.
At any rate, at least I got to Disney to celebrate.

Sunrise
0 commentsThere's a weird atmospheric thing going on right now where it's foggy but the sun is clearly visible.
It's spilling this beautiful red light into the living room.
However, it reminds me of a saying my grandfather used to say:
Red in the morning,
Sailors take warning.

Hottest Commercial EVER
0 commentsIt just turns me on watching it every time. And I would do them both! What a compliment, seeing as I'm straight.

Backyardians
0 commentsI have the woe of living in an apartment with a bedroom facing a backyard that we don't have access to. It's a cute little thing with a gazebo that no one ever uses. The neighbors in our duplex like to sing karaoke late at night instead, it seems.
Anyway, there's a row of backyards with eclectic gardens and stone pathways next to ours. They're just the most darling things ever! One of these days I'll take a picture.
The bonus today was that apparently a jazz band lives two doors over and practices in their backyard! Best thing I've heard in a long time.

Overheard on the Bus
0 commentsLittle Boy: That sign says 'STOP!'
Father: That's right, good job!
Little Boy: So why didn't the bus stop?
Father: Well, that sign is for pedestrians. The bus has to stop for traffic lights.
Little Boy: We learned about traffic lights in school! They have three lights!
Father: Is that so? What are they?
Little Boy: Green, Yellow and Red.
Father: Wow, that's great!
Little Boy: (pauses for a few minutes, watches people get off around shady Civic Center)
Little Boy: I know something else that has a light.
Father: What?
Little Boy: Roxanne.
Father: ..... Huh?
Little Boy: Roxane has a red light.
Father: (chuckles) Uh, yeah. Roxanne has got a red light.
