Sunrise

There's a weird atmospheric thing going on right now where it's foggy but the sun is clearly visible.
It's spilling this beautiful red light into the living room.

However, it reminds me of a saying my grandfather used to say:

Red in the morning,
Sailors take warning.

It just turns me on watching it every time. And I would do them both! What a compliment, seeing as I'm straight.

Backyardians

I have the woe of living in an apartment with a bedroom facing a backyard that we don't have access to. It's a cute little thing with a gazebo that no one ever uses. The neighbors in our duplex like to sing karaoke late at night instead, it seems.

Anyway, there's a row of backyards with eclectic gardens and stone pathways next to ours. They're just the most darling things ever! One of these days I'll take a picture.

The bonus today was that apparently a jazz band lives two doors over and practices in their backyard! Best thing I've heard in a long time.
