Life is Quirky

I am back in San Francisco.

So of course this means I have earned a celebratory crepe from Genki's, which I have gone over a month without. I am walking back to my apartment from said establishment when I must stop and wait to cross at the busy Geary road.

I am right next to Burger King when a beat up, green Ford truck pulls up and parks outside the joint. Out jumps a grizzled, old man wearing a trucker's cap and flannel. He walks with a limp, and the scowl on his bearded face sends out the message: Don't mess with me. I'll f*cking kill you.

As he's making his way to order his wonderfully chemically-enhanced meal, I notice the back window of his truck has a sliding pane. I only notice this because at that very moment a white, toy poodle pushes the pane to the side with his nose. He sticks the front half of his body out and waits there for his master to return.

I smile at the very unexpected breed choice for this gruff old man, but continue on home as the light changed.
